In the United States, there are currently 4.7 million installed heat pumps, with ambitions from the Climate Alliance to escalate this figure to 20 million by the decade's end.

Heat generated by crypto mining often goes unused, posing a challenge to efficient resource utilization. Additionally, heat pumps primarily installed for heating purposes lack integration for cooling functionalities.

Cryptocurrency mining presents challenges such as high energy consumption and associated electricity costs. The Proof-of-Work consensus mechanism, utilized by major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, demands significant computational resources, raising environmental concerns.
